2017 - How it started
We began with one simple goal: give people an easy, no-stress way to get out on the water and actually experience Malta properly; not from a crowded bus, but from the sea.
2019 – Second Base – Malta + Gozo operations
We expanded our operations across Malta and Gozo, giving guests more flexibility when planning their day at sea. Departure options from both islands made it easier to explore Comino, the Blue Lagoon and the surrounding coastline.
2020 – Route Expansion – Beyond the obvious stops
We broadened our routes to explore more of the islands’ coastline, from sea caves to quieter bays. This gave guests more choice beyond the best-known stops, with itineraries adapted to the time available and conditions on the day.
2021 – New Experiences – More ways to get on the water
Our range of experiences grew to suit different interests and ways of exploring. Whether guests wanted a relaxed cruise, more time for swimming or a more active adventure, there were more options for making the most of their time at sea.
2024– Upgrades & fleet improvements
We continued developing our fleet and improving the onboard experience. These upgrades supported our growing range of trips and our focus on making each journey comfortable, enjoyable and suited to the group on board.
2025 – SunReel joins the brand story
SunReel Boats became part of the I Love Malta story, marking another step in the brand’s development. Our focus remained the same: local knowledge, memorable days on the water and straightforward support from the first enquiry to departure.
